Formula
Converted time = the instant of "source time in the source zone", displayed on the target zone’s wall clock. This converter uses real IANA time-zone rules and applies daylight saving automatically — the label switches between standard and summer forms (EST↔EDT, GMT↔BST, CET↔CEST, AEST↔AEDT). Enter the date to pick the correct offset for that time of year; if you leave it blank, a fixed January reference is used. Note that southern-hemisphere zones (Sydney, Auckland) observe daylight saving in the opposite half of the year. Clock-change days: during the ambiguous hour when clocks fall back (e.g. 01:00–02:00 on the autumn changeover), the later of the two possible offsets is used; on the spring changeover the hour that does not exist locally is shifted forward. If you need to be certain on those two days a year, verify with your local authority.
